2020

Thankful for the past year and all the good and the ugly experiences it brought. I'm reminded of the great things God did in 2019 and for that am grateful. I'm reminded of the privilege of learning from others. And in all I'm reminded of the fact that my identity is tied to Christ and not my circumstances or my failures. Grateful to God for the seemingly little things and am grateful for you.
2019 is gone and gone for good. So many things to be grateful for already in 2020. What are you are grateful for?
For 2020
GOD
If, we really want to do great things and make this year our best yet, we must acknowledge God in everything we do. Even the seemingly little things. This year is really going to be about God. The year 2020 is a special year. I don't know if you can sense that already. A year that God is ready to do so much through his children. A year of personal intimacy with God. A year when so many of our God-given ideas will come to fruition.
So, in view of this, whatever assignment he gives, we should carry it out without fear. He's watching for us. He's got our back. But for him to give us this assignment, it's dependent on our readiness to follow him and to do his will. Are we ready to follow him closely this year?
If we are then eyes have not seen and ears have not heard what God has in stock for us and he's going to do through us this year.
" But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." Daniel 11:32 b
God would also have us wait on him, for instructions on how to carry out these tasks. And sometimes he would ask us to be still. And let me add that the period of stillness/waiting is not a period of fruitlessness or a period characterized by unproductivity. It's a period of building and pruning.
PRAYER
I really want to grow in my relationship with God, but sometimes it gets really boring. I don't feel like praying. I don't feel like studying the word. Do you also feel like this? You should read this.
We need to have a constant conversation with our maker. Even on days when you don't feel like. One thing that helped me recently is confessions. I make confessions on what I want my prayer life to look like. And I began to see changes.
BE GRATEFUL
We shouldn't always wait till the end of the year before we start taking stock of the things God has done for us. We should make it a daily habit.
And on a final note, our actions this year must reflect love. And to be able to live and act in love, it starts from knowing love. (GOD)
And this is the promise of God for us all throughout this year:
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
Happy New Year!
